Tori and John’s Modern Museum Wedding With a Killer Reception Space

Captured & submitted by DeLong Photography

This sweet couple are college sweethearts who met on their first day if school in Illinois! They moved to Charlotte a few years ago and decided to put down roots and take the next step together. They held a Catholic wedding ceremony but switched things up for portraits and their reception. We went to a beautiful nearby park (Freedom Park) and then strolled outside the museum for portraits. This gives both a warm autumn and urban feel to their gallery. The museum is located in the heart of the city. There are multiple wedding reception spaces at the Mint Museum Uptown. Their reception space was incredible! It had an art installation that created a stained glass look from floor to ceiling (4 stories tall!).  To top everything off, their families threw down on the dance floor making for some awesome candid moments.

Our favorite part of this gallery?

Tori’s first look with her father. They had the sweetest, most emotional first look we’ve ever photographed!

Their day was almost as beautiful as they are (both inside and out). 🙂
