Stunning Royal Palms Wedding

Kirsten and Ross’s wedding was visually stunning, as were they. We love the beautifully maintained grounds of the Royal Palms Resort in Scottsdale, AZ. Us being from the desert, the crisp October air signifies the end of the Monsoon season, but not without one last dash of rain on their wedding day.

The love story

They met at a bar through a mutual friend. As stars would align, they had both moved to San Francisco weeks apart, and it was their first time out, but it was an attraction at first sight. Ross asked for Kirsten’s number that day, texted her that night, and they’ve been together ever since!

The Wedding

Kirsten and Ross wanted their wedding at the Royal Palms; from the moment you turn into the driveway, it’s like a magical home away from home. As they have friends and family members that live all over the world (US, Australia, & the UK), it was so special to them to combine worlds and celebrate their love with all the people they love!

The wedding was colorful yet romantic. Kirsten’s color scheme for her bridesmaids – blues, pinks and purples – and how it pulled together with their florals was something she had in mind since they started planning. Likewise, Ross’s groomsmen decked out in traditional, crisp, black tux complete with black bowties, so GQ. Kirsten and Ross have always described their relationship as fun but structured, they love a routine, so their wedding reflected that one hundred percent!

The twist of the day was that Kirsten’s parents chose the Royal Palms Resort; now Kirsten and Ross Fully trusted them, so they committed right away – site unseen! It’s a known fact that Kirsten and Ross love architecture and value nature/open spaces. Our couple describes their favorite venue feature as the overall ambiance. Of course, you can’t forget that having Camelback Mountain in the background is the perfect backdrop for your husband and wife portraits!

During cocktail hour, Kirsten and Ross enjoyed spicy margaritas as they mingled and embraced friends and family. Their incredible planner and her design team flawlessly executed a stunning reception set up in the newly painted and remodeled Palmera Salon. Then, as a live musician serenaded Kirsten and Ross, they took their seats by the beautifully restored historic fireplace. But, of course, the festivities were only complete with an incredible menu curated by Kirsten and Ross with the Chefs at The Royal Palms, which made the evening all the more memorable.

This wedding was the perfect setting for their families to come together and share their history, love, and future. Every detail, from Kirsten’s Grandmother’s veil to the custom cake topper of their dog Percy, Scottsdale, has a special place in their hearts. So even with all; the rain, their wedding weekend couldn’t have been more perfect.
