Kimberly and Troy’s Spring Wedding On The Lake at Lighthouse Lodge

Kimberly and Troy are married! These two have been together for quite some time and originally met online. After chatting for about two weeks, Troy came to Indy to visit Kimberly and for their first date. Once they met, they knew they had found the one they would be with forever. Fast forward a bit and Troy proposed to Kimberly while they were on Lake Shafer. Kimberly obviously said yes!

They held their wedding on Saturday at the gorgeous Lighthouse Lodge in Monticello, Indiana. Lighthouse Lodge is situated right on Lake Shafer and they knew that it would be the perfect location for their wedding. They filled their wedding with green and gray details and really let the lake and the gorgeous area stand out. They loved getting to celebrate their love with their closest friends and family present and loved that each of their children were able to play a special part in their wedding day.

How/when/where did you meet?

We met online and he came to Indy for a date weekend two weeks later and we knew that was it.  It would be forever.

How/when/where did the proposal happen?

He proposed to me on Lake Shafer.  Had strawberries and whipped cream.  Fabulous.

What was the vision for your wedding, the style/color/scheme?

Definitely having it on a lake somewhere so why not the lake where he proposed.

Why did you choose your wedding venue?

I have always loved Lake Shafer and Indiana Beach and wanted a wedding on the lake.

Describe your ceremony, what makes it unique/special?

All of our kids will be in it. Just excited to spend time with new family we haven’t met.

Describe the flowers used for floral arrangements?

My best friend Tammy who is in the wedding is crafty and making the bouquets perfect.

What was the inspiration for your wedding cake?

Colors of the wedding.
