WHAT WORDS WOULD YOU USE TO DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING?

Modern romantic

THE PROPOSAL: My fiancé proposed while we were exchanging gifts. It was the most intimate setting just the two of us at our first apartment together at the time. Each year I always open the larger presents first but he insisted i started with the smaller ones so I went for the smallest box and it was an engagement ring! I was totally shocked and when I turned around he was on one knee with the biggest small on his face I bursted into tears excited and overwhelmed with every happy emotion.

THE VISION:

I always dreamt about having a modern romantic desert wedding, i didn’t know what desert at the time but we knew our guest would be in all black and our florals would be white roses with touches of pampas anything in the monochromatic tones was our inspiration.

THE PLANNING PROCESS:

After a stressful few months of attempting to plan our wedding. A Florida based event planning company called LuxuriouslyYours events took over the entire planning process. Latasha & Olivia swiftly found the elopement Las Vegas which was a perfect match to what my finance and I wanted. Latasha helped assist in finding the best package that worked for our budget. At first i started with a guest count of 10 people but it quickly went up to hosting 40 guest. Elopement Las Vegas was super responsive and responded to all my questions and reassured me that everything will work out exactly how I wanted, they showed tons of pictures and examples on locations and different ceremony setups. Honestly if I could of stayed in the desert and host my reception with Emily and her team I would have. Everyone was super professional, resourceful and showed so much compassion day of which my husband and I truly appreciated. Since my guest count was on the larger side I also hosted a reception. The same wedding planner from LuxuriouslyYours designed my reception venue and Cut & Taste catered it.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS

Lorena greeting me and telling me to seize the moment, as I walked up to the location hand and hand with my mother seeing my Husband and son for the first time waiting alongside my sister is a moment I never want to forget. My ceremony was during golden hour so the backdrop was breathtaking.

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES

“Get exactly what you want” — Planning weddings is extremely hard financially and also very intimidating because looking at social media and seeing a lot of extravagant weddings it can discouraging with a budget but do the RESEARCH and it’s possible to find great companies to work with you without breaking the bank and still sticking true to what matters is important. Looking back at my wedding I wouldn’t have done it any differently every turned out exactly what we hoped for.
