Mallory and Kaleb’s Victorian Estate Wedding in Lancaster

Mallory and Kaleb’s wedding was a perfect Fall event inspired by the colors of the season with personalized quirky touches.  Mallory and Kaleb met back in high school playing the video game, Rock Band at a mutual friend’s house.  There were admiring looks for each other.  However, neither of them realized this until a decade later when they were a match on Tinder.

They knew they had met their soulmates and after a short period of dating and buying a house they began talking about marriage.   Since it is hard to surprise someone who is expecting it, Kaleb knew he had to really think about his proposal.  Eventually he had a plan!

A few days before Christmas he wooed Mallory by ordering dinner.  To keep her guessing he gave her a card “from the dog” that explained to Mallory that the dog was ready for a name change.  At first, Mallory thought she was being “Rickrolled” when Kaleb started playing the Rick Astley song “Never Gonna Give You Up” and dancing with their other dog.  Mallory was certainly thrown off course, but eventually Kaleb took a knee to ask for Mallory’s hand!

Of course Mallory and Kaleb used this as one of their personal touches during their first dance.  They started with a typical Ed Sheeran song only to move into the now meaningful Rick Astley song only a few verses in.

But before they danced their first dance, the moment Kaleb’s was looking forward had to happen.  He needed to see Mallory for the very first time as she walked with her father down the aisle.  He was certainly not disappointed with Mallory’s beautiful wedding dress.  Mallory knew her dress was the perfect one the moment she put it on.  It was an original Kleinfeld dress that was sold to her second hand from Blessing Brides Ministry.  It was one that had been tucked away in the back instead of on the store front racks.  Upon discussing Mallory’s bridal gown vision, the attendant pulled it out from the back and it was perfect.   Mallory looked like a princess in her elegant ballgown.

Mallory and Kaleb were so happy with all the details of their wedding.  They loved incorporating their personalities and little geeky touches like the dice in Kaleb’s boutonniere.  They did a handfasting ceremony which is a Celtic tradition tying back to Mallory’s Irish heritage. Overall, they most important part of their day was the dancing!  All of their family was looking forward to dancing the night away with line dances and more!  Mallory and Kaleb got the last dance as a private dance in the reception space right before heading outside for a sparkler exit.
