Alice and Alex’s Intimate and Romantic Santa Barbara Wedding

Alice and Alex decided to have a romantic, timeless intimate wedding in Santa Barbara this past spring, surrounded by their closest family and friends. After almost a year of planning and a few weather-related hiccups that had them shifting their plans a bit, they settled on a gorgeous ceremony at the Ellwood Bluffs in Goleta, CA, with an apértif at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden just before to celebrate. The couple stayed at an Airbnb in Montecito, where they got ready together the morning of their wedding. After making sure their outfits were perfect and details on point, they headed out to the botanic garden for some portraits and to meet up with their family and friends, many of whom came from not only across the country but even from Europe! Once the couple arrived at their celebration, they toasted to their new married life together and enjoyed some delicious cheese and charcuterie provided by a local cheese shop.

Following the apértif, everyone headed to the bluffs for Alice and Alex’s ceremony. The ceremony was held just before sunset and as they said their personal vows together, whales could be spotted in the distance—it was truly magical! They said “I do” and then celebrated with another toast—this time with champagne! After lots of family photos, everyone headed out except the couple and myself, their photographer, for some sunset and blue hour photos. We took advantage of the fading light to get some seriously dreamy photos that helped capture the love and joy of that evening. Congrats again A + A!
