Love stories often begin in the most unexpected places, and for Holly and Jacob, it all started on Bumble. This platform had a unique twist where women had the opportunity to message the men first, but with a time limit of 24 hours. Fate brought them together, and Holly decided to seize the chance by paying $10 to reconnect with Jacob. Little did she know that this would be the best $10 she ever spent! Le’s dive in and share a little more about this timeless wedding at the Viceroy Hotel.
The Perfect Match
Their connection grew stronger with time, and Holly realized that Jacob was someone truly special. He became her confidant and a strong, calming presence in her life. Jacob, on the other hand, cherished the way Holly made him feel valued and appreciated, and he knew he had found all he ever wanted in one person.
Three years later, on a beautiful sea cliff in Maui, Hawaii, Jacob surprised Holly with a proposal she would cherish forever. With a photographer capturing the moment, he vowed to be her person not just today, but for all the tomorrows to come.
Dream Dress
When it came to wedding preparations, Holly found her dream dress at Complete Bridal in East Dundee. The champagne-colored dress, adorned with an art deco pattern of beads and diamonds, was a stunning departure from what she had originally envisioned. It was a magical moment when she saw herself in that dress, and she knew it was the one.
The Wedding Day
Their wedding day was a modern twist on The Great Gatsby, with silver and gold art deco centerpieces, palm leaves, and white flowers adorning the arch. Jacob looked dashing in a white tuxedo jacket paired with black pants, while Holly’s dress complemented the theme perfectly.
One of the most special moments of the day was the first look between Holly and Jacob. All the nerves Holly had been feeling melted away when she saw her soon-to-be-husband. Another heartwarming moment was when she walked down the aisle to her grandmother’s song, “Can’t Help Falling in Love With You.” This song had held a special place in her heart for years, and it was beautiful that her sister and cousin also used it in their weddings.
As the day unfolded, their love and joy were palpable, and they danced the night away surrounded by the people they cherished.
A Little Advice
For future brides, Holly had some valuable advice. Doing the first look and family photos before the ceremony proved to be a great decision, as it allowed her to relax and enjoy the ceremony without any worries about pictures. She also suggested saving money on invites by sending out fun digital invitations with music and printing a few professional invites as keepsakes for close friends and family.
Holly and Jacob’s wedding was a perfect celebration of love, bringing together modern elements with a touch of the past.
