Savannah and Dylan’s Intimate Elopement at Family Cabin

Captured & submitted by Vows and Peaks

From the beginning, Sean, from Vows and Peaks, was wonderful! He replied quickly to my elopement inquiry and helped us plan the perfect day.

With Dylan’s history of hunting and understanding good locations, I asked him to search for a place that would allow us to have a beautiful and intimate hike and also allow our family to be present for our wedding ceremony. After a long search, Dylan found our spot at Alta Lakes. It accommodated our family and provided the scene we wanted.

We updated Sean once we had the Observatory booked and he helped us adjust the vision for our Wedding. We wanted to have a personal, intimate time to ourselves, while also celebrating with our family.

Sean has a vendor list and I knew from his socials that he worked with Wild Bride Backcountry often. I reached out to Crystal and got booked quickly. Crystal graciously sent Kendra for the booking. I was very nervous to plan all of this from states away, but Sean and Crystal/Kendra were so calming and answered all my questions.

The night before our wedding we were in Telluride for the “rehearsal” dinner. Sean and Kendra took the time to meet with us to go over final details. This was such a small detail that meant so much to us.

Due to some weather coming in, Sean readjusted our wedding day to the original plan: a sunrise first look hike, then back to the cabin for our family ceremony. Neither of us are especially morning people, but the jitters had me up and ready for the early morning hair & makeup. Kendra made sure to keep me calm and cool as we moved through the morning. Sean and Dylan planned the sunrise hike and we all got some puppy snuggles before we hiked.

I cannot explain how lovely the morning hike was. It was so refreshing to move around and go explore. The views were fantastic and the time spent together for the first look was so personal and fulfilled what Dylan and I wanted for our elopement. Having a sunrise first look with mountains behind each of you…breathtaking in so many ways.

We hiked back down to the cabin and ate some yummy breakfast with our family. Sean and Kendra got to hang out and enjoy the cabin too. Kendra did some final touch ups on my hair/makeup and helped me redress. Sean was wonderful at finding more spots for awesome pictures.

Our ceremony was personal and to the point. My best friend, Katherine, officiated the ceremony and found the perfect words to narrate it all. The dogs were so silly, but kept everyone from tearing up too much. Sean captured it all. He made sure to get any combo of pictures and had great ideas to capture all the moments.

Many folks, especially little Southern girls spend a lot of time daydreaming about their “dream wedding”. Our wedding was more perfect than I could have ever planned or daydreamt. It was relaxing, calm, and beautiful. I do not think it would have been this way without the help of Sean, Wild Brides Backcountry, and the vision they helped us create.

Thank you, team for helping the day be wonderful. Thank you to our family and friends for believing and supporting us. I hope you all enjoyed our “rustic” wedding. We are so grateful.
