A wedding for a couple that loves Halloween.

This whole shoot started with a black wedding dress and that amazing crown, with something that epic you should have a whole shoot built around it, right? But each and every detail was important to bring it to life. As soon as Lobo Castle was suggested as a venue for this styled shoot I was excited, we don’t have castles in LA. The owner and head chef normally doesn’t allow styled shoots, but she herself loves Halloween and wanted to see what we could do.

The bride model, also a Hair and Makeup artist, jumped at the idea of this shoot. She is obsessed with Halloween and starts pulling out all her extra decorations in August. This is the wedding that her boyfriend and family wouldn’t ever let her have but that she secretly always wanted. We started planning out all the extras to bring this together. The cake was designed creepily with golden spiders and an amazing bold maroon and black design, so we knew the black butcher knife would be perfect to cut the cake!

The stationer and the photographer are both October born libras, so they have Halloween in their blood. The stationer had ideas within minutes of suggesting a Halloween inspired wedding concept. From the colors, to the names on the cards that were selected intentionally, we all knew this was a fun yet funky inspiration that was over the top in all the perfect ways! This wedding concept was a labor of horrifically beautiful love with a touch of magic.
