Intimate Wedding in Loudoun County Horse Country

This elegant style shoot was located near the town of Middleburg, VA. In the picturesque countryside  surrounding the town are low stone walls and wood fences surrounding the stately horse farms. The estate of Goodstone Inn and Restaurant located in this beautiful area with the Blue Ridge and Bull Run Mountains in the background. The history of the estate includes the original stone wall covered in ivy that once served as the front of the manor. Travelers were welcomed into the large stone home for a night’s rest while traveling through the area. The wall was used as the backdrop of intimate ceremony held at dusk. The couple was surrounded by standing local flowers, roses and candlelight.

The style shoot color was hunter green and accented with champagne and gold. The palette blended perfectly with the stone work throughout the property. The wedding table was adorn with a hunter green velvet tablecloth with a statement centerpiece using locally grown flowers by Petal Pushers. The finishing touch was a flower runner using small white flowers intertwined among the tapered candles. The hunter green velvet also showcased the cake located near the saltwater pool. The cake made by Cakes by Ashton, LLC, brought together the lace of the wedding dress with the wedding’s primary color accented with white roses.

The bride’s lace dress had large bow accents on each shoulder to give it a more romantic and vintage look, but when removed created a more modern look. The wedding jewelry created by Christian Caine Designs was the perfect the finishing touch to the ensemble.

While the bride prepared in the Manor house, the groom enjoyed a cigar and a drink in the wine cellar located off the Atrium in the restaurant.

After the ceremony, the couple enjoyed the pleasant summer evening on the white couch provided by Something Borrowed at the ceremony site as well as on the patio near the pool.
