Zac, my fiancé, planned the most incredible proposal — which started out with a surprise trip to Amangiri, an incredible desert oasis located in the Glen Canyon area of Southern Utah.
On our first morning, we set off for a surprise adventure. The hotel had BMW’s and driver waiting for us and they dropped us off at a private helicopter pad on the property — nestled in the desert, it was absolutely unreal. At this point I’m just loving the adventure; I had no idea a proposal was coming, especially because I figured we would be sitting in a helicopter!
To my surprise though, the helicopter actually LANDED on top of Tower Butte. The pilot encouraged us to get out and check out the surroundings. It was surreal!
Standing 1000+ feet in the air, with a stunning view of the Lake Powell canyons, Zac asked to marry him and I said yes!
With us in the helicopter was a “tour guide”, was actually was a professional photographer, Raymond Chee, who captured the most special photos. I had no idea!
Zac designed my ring himself and I was completely blown away. I couldn’t love it more.
After the proposal, we flew back down to Amangiri to bask in the newly-engaged glow. We called our families and got a couples massage. Then Raymond Chee, our incredible photographer, came back to the property for engagement photos around the resort. I will treasure these photographs forever!
