Olivia and Robert’s Vineyard Wedding in Maryland

Captured & submitted by TLIC Media

A note from Olivia: Looking back at our history and how we met, almost feels impossible to pin point. It’s not that I cannot remember the moment when I first looked at him, and I mean actually looked upon him and spoke to one another. It was a feeling I can only describe as having known him a lifetime but never actually having “seen” him before.

Most would chuckle but we first met in the Army, one day we were on the range going through training and bless it, he was helping to train me. I remember looking at him when he arrived, he held an energy about him where I couldn’t stop staring and in that moment I immediately thought he did not like me, then I saw him smile and the sun was cast upon his face, like in some way it always belonged there. That’s when I immediately said…. Nope, no I don’t like him, haha. I wouldn’t, I couldn’t, I shouldn’t. I wanted nothing to do with him, even he will tell you I was adamant in that. Looking back on that now, it was because I knew in that very moment that he held my heart in his hands. It’s not something I can better put into words but some things you just know, and it can be one of the scariest decisions to make. With my hard headed-ness, I tried to resist.

He will tell you I was as elusive as Casper the ghost, unyielding, and not always the easiest to deal with but he would caveat that with the promise he made to himself when he first met me..”if she gives me a chance, I will do everything I can to make her the happiest woman in the world and I will never give up because she is my one”

Needless to say, it is his very nature to be even more persistent and stubborn than me (sometimes, haha). From that moment on, he showed me what it was like to he truly loved, to be accepted to your very core, he made me laugh in a way I didn’t know was possible, he pushed me beyond my limits believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself. He infuriates me to no extent and yet can’t stand to not have him by my side. He is my best friend, partner in crime, the person who makes me celebrate every darn flaw or insecurity as if I was perfect to him and I don’t know how I got to be so blessed that he would choose me, but I plan on spending the rest of my days making sure I am worthy of this blessing.

We have had so many adventures, and I am beyond thankful that we are able to spend the rest of our lives creating more.

Thank you TLIC for being the ones to help us capture some of the most important adventures we will always remember! ❤️
