Melody & Cristina got their dream wedding in New Orleans. Their two opposite yet complementary styles were featured throughout the design plan and the entire day felt like a beautiful marriage of these two amazing personalities becoming one.

Cristina opted for more masc styling but her tuxedo was anything but traditional. The patterning on the black tux provided a subtle sheen, paired with a cropped pant it became an elevated classic. The fuschia velvet loafers were the perfect pop of color that tied in with her stunning shoulder corsage in deep, rich hues. (Spoiler alert: Cristina had two more shoe changes still to come!).

Melody was a vision in her gown that had lace appliques, structured boning in the top and a subtle sparkle throughout. The slit in the skirt was a show stopper and showed off a pop of bling thanks to her Jimmy Choo’s ankle strap. Her bouquet was massivse and had an abundance of pink orchids and baby’s breath organically styled.

For their first look and portraits they met up at the vibrant and eclectic Virgin Hotel and then were on to their outdoor ceremony at Il Mercato, a Spanish colonial building in the heart of New Orleans.

The florals covering the hearth of Il Mercato’s outdoor fireplace brought together the two different floral styles that Melody & Cristina each chose (mirroring their personal styles). Once guests stepped inside the venue they were met with flowers in the same color palette floating from the ceiling plus chandeliers covered in greenery.

The courtyard and ceremony space was flipped to become a lush lounge area with velvet couches and chairs. Inside, the tables were set for a seated dinner featuring more florals (and floral prints), fresh fruits, and tapered candles in both light & dark colorways.

Entertainment was very important for this fun Florida couple. (If you’re not partying hard at your New Orleans wedding you’re not doing it right!). Besides the Second Line led by a New Orleans brass band, guests enjoyed personalized LED foam party sticks while the couple got the reception popping with Co2 guns. Mirrored dancers got down becoming roaming disco balls on the dance floor. With a big kiss and a cold sparks send-off, Melody & Cristina went into the night celebrating together–officially married.
