Jenna and Jack’s Gorgeous Rooftop Wedding in Washington DC

Captured & submitted by Rachel Yearick Photography

It’s not every day, two artists and teachers meet, fall in love, and plan a beautifully detailed wedding! This was one of my favorite weddings of the fall season. Jack and Jenna’s gorgeous Line Hotel, DC Wedding had tons of unique and personal designs with planning by the oh-so-talented White Dress Black Tie & luxury florals from Stem and Thistle. I am honored to share this one-of-a-kind wedding!

I’m still head over heels for this creamy, fall color palate (especially those stunning bouquets in Jack’s handmade vases), plus a joyful bride and groom and a super fun bridal party. This is one of those days that we could shoot over and over and over again!

Proposal story from Jenna: “We got engaged this April on a weekend trip to upstate New York. I planned the trip to show Jack one of my top 10 favorite places, Storm King Art Center (Google it! It’s stunning!). We both love contemporary art (I used to work in museums and Jack is an art teacher). He proposed in a secluded area overlooking some giant sculptures. It was perfect!”

“Our vision for our wedding day would probably be best described as “simple elegance.” As cheesy as it sounds, it’s true. We’re keeping it simple with only our closest friends and family (30-35 guests) and doing it in a place we love, The Line, which brings a lot of natural elegance. (It’s our top DC staycation spot!). In terms of decor, we’ll build off the stately/hipness of the large suite and adjoining rooftop with an abundance of flowers and candles. ” – Jenna
