Naomi and Tyler’s love story began when they met as interns in the summer of 2014. Fast forward to September 2020, during a trip to Hilton Head with Naomi’s siblings and friends, Tyler proposed on the picturesque beach. Little did Naomi know that her parents would surprise her with their presence right after the engagement, making the moment even more special.

Their wedding planning journey started with a whirlwind of tools, resources, and recommendations. They prioritized finding the perfect venue, wedding designer, and photographer and eventually formed a fantastic vendor team through social media research and recommendations from trusted sources. The process was initially overwhelming, but with the guidance of their designers, Ines and Marie, they found their way.

The couple chose Lovett Hall at the Henry Ford Museum as their wedding venue. Its timeless elegance and grand ballroom, paired with the opportunity for an outdoor cocktail hour, perfectly matched its vision. As for their vendors, they selected them based on their exceptional craftsmanship and the strong connection they felt with each team member.

Their wedding theme was described as “romantic, timeless, chic,” with a color palette inspired by Japanese ceramics, featuring dusty blue, mauve rose, and shades of ivory. Naomi’s dress, a Martina Liana gown with a custom bow and alterations was a dream come true, chosen with the help of Meg from Beloved Bridal in Ann Arbor.

Several special touches made their wedding unforgettable. Naomi’s sister, also her Maid of Honor, surprised guests by singing their first dance song, “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” The first look between Naomi and Tyler was a cherished moment that helped calm their nerves and strengthen their connection.

Reflecting on their wedding planning journey, Naomi and Tyler advise couples to cherish the entire process. While it can be overwhelming and stressful at times, it’s an opportunity to grow closer as a couple. Lean on each other, build a dependable vendor team, and savor every moment with loved ones. It all goes by in the blink of an eye, but the memories will last a lifetime.
