Julia and Jordan’s Beautiful Spring Wedding at Moonstone Manor

Julia and Jordan had a beautiful spring wedding day at Moonstone Manor, complete with tons of pink florals! They got engaged at the cherry blossoms in DC, so they continued the pink flower theme 🙂

Q: Let’s start at the beginning. How did you two first meet?

A: Jordan and I met on Tinder – of all places, back in 2014! It was love at first swipe!

Q: What makes your relationship special? Tell us some things that you both value in your time together. (example: pushing each other to new limits, love to travel, huge comic book fans, foodies, etc.) What makes your relationship unique?

A: Our relationship is based on mutual respect, honesty and deep conversations. With that foundation, everything we do together is FUN! We absolutely love spending time together! It could be anywhere, even a grocery store, but it’s always an adventure! We are HUGE foodies, and really immerse ourselves in local cuisine while traveling! We are grateful for the lives we get to live and want to experience as many different cultures and foods as we can!

Q: How did you know your partner was the one? When did you first know this in your relationship? (these may often be the same moment, but aren’t always)

A: I knew Jordan was the one when I couldn’t imagine being with or marrying anyone else. I couldn’t imagine anyone as wonderful as he is and frankly – I didn’t want to. I knew this in our relationship early in the beginning from the way he cared about me, empowered me and pushed me to be better!

Q: Give us all the details about the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise? What was the planning process?

A: OMG the entire proposal was a COMPLETE SURPRISE!! We had been talking about getting engaged the past few years but I had no idea it was happening. It was a surprise proposal at the Cherry Blossoms Festival super early in the morning at 6 am. He told me it was a photoshoot for our 7 year dating anniversary and I teased him about how it sounded awfully like an engagement. He had me CONVINCED it was just a regular photoshoot. I asked him if I should get my nails done, “no”, I asked if he was proposing, he said “honey, not yet, it’s still a pandemic”, I even told him on the way out the door (on our way to DC) “don’t forget the ring”, he laughed and said “honey, I don’t want you to be disappointed – its just a photo shoot!”. I had gotten to the point where I realized it was just a photo shoot – nothing more. That morning, I never even thought twice about anything else and low and behold, our wonderful photographer had us stand back to back, she told us to take a few steps forward and then turn around and give each other a bear hug, and when I turned around…… he was down on one knee! I blacked out after that…. it’s all on camera though! 🙂

Q: We’re all about the bling… Tell us all about that ring!

A: Another surprise – we never really went ring shopping! I told him I loved princess cut and he custom designed it with a jeweler! Its a beautiful princess cut diamond surrounded on both sides by round Pink Sapphires (he sourced these himself through the jeweler!) on a platinum ring! And yes, PINK sapphires! He knows how much I love pink, so he went the extra mile and put it in my engagement ring! What is so special to me though, is that he designed it! I get giddy every time I look at it! He’s a thoughtful man!
