Brenna and Tarek’s Timeless Black-Tie Wedding at the Cosmos Club

We recently photographed a timeless upscale wedding that would make an excellent feature because it was as fun as it was aspirational. 150 guests traveled to the exclusive Cosmos Club in Washington DC from all corners of the globe to celebrate this vibrant couple’s big day. Brenna and Tarek’s black-tie ceremony took place in a ballroom inspired by the Hall of Mirrors in the Palace of Versailles. The day was punctuated by lavish florals and meaningful tokens such as a locket containing historic family photos and their wedding lasso featuring medallions of the groom’s family crest.

Martyr and Lee Photography documented the excitement and the elegance on state-of-the-art digital cameras as well as vintage b&w film. Guests were all too happy to pose for Johnny Martyr’s quirky 1950’s folding camera while Stephanie Lee captured the glamor of their impeccably tailored outfits with warm, summer tones. Of all the heartfelt events that the couple enjoyed, I’m told that the bride was the most excited about pouring her Champaign tower.
