Wanting to bridge the gap between a luxury and an intimate wedding, a garden picnic was the perfect illustration of merging these two worlds. Classic, thoughtful and intimate weddings are becoming more and more popular. We took it a step further by adding in a sweet picnic arrangement to be enjoyed by just the couple and their wedding party.

Imagine an intimate luxury elopement set in the idyllic Cranberry Creek Gardens, a charming historical venue featuring a beautifully restored old church. The church, with its vintage architecture and timeless charm, is surrounded by lush greenery, creating a perfect backdrop for a garden picnic. The landscape transports you to a European garden.

White and pink florals, including roses, peonies, and hydrangeas, are artistically arranged in baskets that double as bouquets, adding a soft romantic touch to the setting. The flowers are scattered throughout the picnic space, their delicate hues blending harmoniously with the natural beauty of the surroundings.

A picnic wedding is inherently casual, with its outdoor setting, relaxed seating, and informal vibe, but when paired with high-end design, florals, and details, it transforms into something truly special. The juxtaposition includes lush, intricately designed floral arrangements set on a picnic blanket, gourmet catering served in a casual, alfresco setting, or fine crystal champagne flutes nestled among rustic, woven baskets.

Think designer linens, custom monogrammed picnic essentials, or gold-accented cutlery against a backdrop of nature. The key is to elevate a familiar, comfortable experience with luxurious details that make the event feel exclusive yet relaxed.

The most innovative design element is the bridesmaid’s basket bouquets. Both darling and practical, so much easier to carry around than a typical bouquet. Bonus, you can use them as decor throughout your reception space.

Seeing how the bride, groom and bridesmaids interacted with the picnic design was so fun to watch. It added such a fun and whimsical element to such a inherently formal event. Approachable luxury is a blend of sophisticated, high-end elements with a laid-back or informal concept, creating an atmosphere that feels both indulgent and inviting. It makes luxury feel accessible without sacrificing elegance or attention to detail.
