As vanlifers, Susan the florist, and myself, Joleen, Love Wildly, the photographer, have imagined an elopement on salt flats for years. The dreamy landscape looked like it was straight from a world made of pastels and sunsets. So as we started to brainstorm for this elopement inspiration shoot, we wanted every element to look like it was straight from cotton candy pastel watercolor painting. Susan played with raw elements, even incorporating salad greens into the bouquet (it’s cool, we promise).
Chloe and Joziah, our couple, celebrating their 1st anniversary, drove all the way from California. When we arrived, there was a freezing storm. It was so cold that every gust of wind turned into a snow flurry. No one wanted to miss out so we decided to just go for it and hope for the best, and we ended up being treated with the most beautiful sunset. We explored the Salt Flats, pausing for hot cups of tea and blankets.
