Karina and Arthur’s Beautiful Intimate Wedding at Norwalk Courthouse

This was a beautiful courthouse wedding in Norwalk City – Los Angeles County, celebrating the love of Karina and Arthur. It was a small and intimate elopement, shared with a few of their closest family members and friends.

We met at the Norwalk City Clerk’s Office, where everyone gathered—just a small group, but full of warmth and excitement. Soon after, we headed in for the civil ceremony. Like most courthouse weddings, it was short, sweet, and filled with meaning. A court official greeted us right on time at 11 a.m., kindly walking us through what to expect during the ceremony, which lasted around 15 minutes.

The ceremony took place in a small, cozy room that can seat up to 20 guests. We had about 10 people in total—Karina and Arthur’s loved ones, myself as their photographer, and my girlfriend Katarina, who assisted me with lighting.

The officiant began with a warm welcome and shared a few heartfelt words about love and marriage. Then came the moment we all know from the movies: “Do you take this person to be your spouse?” They both said “I do” with huge smiles, followed by a ring exchange (which, fun fact, is totally optional). With that, they were officially married!

After the ceremony, we gathered outside to take a group photo with family and friends. To our surprise, a lovely woman stood nearby with a wedding bell, which she rang to celebrate the couple—it was such a charming touch! We took some photos in front of the courthouse entrance, then crossed the street for a few beautiful portraits at the Norwalk Library. The setting was peaceful and perfect for the moment.

After about 15–20 minutes of group photos, we moved into the couple’s portrait session. I always scout photo locations before any wedding—big or small—so we can take full advantage of the best lighting and scenery.

In this case, I recommended we shoot around the Norwalk Courthouse and Library. The light was soft and lovely, and we captured some truly beautiful images in about an hour. I always suggest setting aside at least one hour for couple portraits—it’s the calmest, most creative part of the day.

Taking portraits in this area gave us a chance to slow down, breathe, and enjoy the moment. Karina and Arthur were so relaxed and joyful in front of the camera, and the surroundings brought an extra layer of charm. It really was the perfect space to reflect the love and excitement of their day.

After the photos, we joined the rest of the group at a nearby Mexican restaurant, where a delicious lunch was waiting. The vibe was laid-back and full of laughter. We ended the celebration with a few final shots of Karina and Arthur cutting their wedding cake, surrounded by smiles and love.

This elopement was full of sweet, genuine moments—simple, joyful, and heartfelt. The kind of day that reminds you what weddings are really all about.
