Loryn and Mitch’s Fall Wedding at North Star Gatherings in the Colorado Mountains

There are weddings that feel like pure magic, and Loryn and Mitch’s fall celebration at North Star Gatherings was exactly that. Tucked into the Colorado mountains, surrounded by warm autumn light, family from near and far, and an unforgettable dance floor, this day was the perfect reflection of who they are together. As a Colorado wedding photographer, days like this are a dream…where the people, the place, and the energy all come together seamlessly.

One of the most beautiful parts of the day was seeing Mitch’s family travel in all the way from New Zealand. Weddings are always about bringing people together, but there was something extra special about the way families and friends gathered from across the globe to celebrate this love story in the mountains of Colorado.

North Star Gatherings is one of those venues that takes your breath away. Nestled in the Rocky Mountains, it offers panoramic views that glow during golden hour. As a Colorado mountain wedding photographer, this is my favorite part of the day, the quiet moments where the couple gets to soak in their day against the beauty of Colorado.

When it comes to wedding receptions, food and music set the tone, and this one did not disappoint. Guests enjoyed wood-fired pizza from Mountain Crust Pizza, which is always a crowd favorite (and smelled incredible as always!). And then came the dance floor. At some point, Pink Pony Club started blasting through the speakers (my first time hearing it, I was hooked!) and it instantly turned into a dance party to remember. There’s nothing like a song that makes everyone dance, sing, and lose themselves in the celebration!

What I’ll remember most about Loryn and Mitch’s day isn’t just the incredible views or the perfect fall light, it’s the way everyone came together, from Colorado to New Zealand, to create a wedding day that was filled with love, laughter, and moments they’ll never forget.
