When Usman and Mahnoor first reached out about their three-day Pakistani Muslim wedding in Orlando, I knew we were going to create something special.
From our very first conversation, their creativity and vision for a vintage, film-inspired celebration stood out. We spent months creating mood boards together, pouring over old magazine editorials and nostalgic imagery, talking about what mattered most to them. They didn’t just want beautiful wedding photography; they wanted their Nikah, Mehndi, and Shaadi to feel like a love letter to classic romance with a modern, cinematic twist.
What made photographing Usman and Mahnoor so incredibly easy was the genuine sweetness of their love. There were so many natural moments of laughter, stolen glances, and pure joy between them that my job became less about directing and more about simply capturing the magic that was already there. Their connection was effortless, authentic, and absolutely radiant.
One of the most ICONIC moments of the entire wedding weekend happened after their Nikah ceremony at the Islamic Center of Orlando. Usman and Mahnoor had requested rolling car shots, something we’d dreamed up together during our planning sessions. We set up walkie talkies so they could hear my direction, and I got strapped into a car driving alongside them on the road.
The result? Absolutely breathtaking cinematic shots with motion blur, vintage film vibes, and this incredible runaway bride energy, except even better because it was the couple running off together AFTER their Nikah. It was romantic, adventurous, and so perfectly them.
This Pakistani wedding in Orlando spanned three unforgettable days, each event bringing its own beauty, tradition, and celebration. From the intimate Nikah ceremony at Jama Masjid to the vibrant Mehndi celebration filled with music and henna, to the luxurious Shaadi reception at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, every moment was infused with intention, culture, and that vintage aesthetic Usman and Mahnoor loved so much.
