However, in 2018, the barn was bought by Noel and Alannah Sweeney and transformed into an event center with rustic elegance.  During the renovation process, it was crucial to the Sweeneys that they utilize as much of the original materials as possible while simultaneously modernizing the architecture.  The barn holds historical importance to the area, so its preservation was as important as bringing in modern touches. Provided by Tangs Bridal and Alterations Tangs Bridal and Alterations is doubling their store space, taking over the next-door unit (previously home to the African Market, who are re-settling further down the block). The expansion will feature – A private bridal alterations area – Extended work space for the seamstresses and tailors – Double the room for wedding dress storage – New display areas – A suit and tux showroom – Ample space and dressing rooms for daily alteration appointments These expansions, changes, and transformations will occur slowly over the next few months, so be patient with Tangs as they adjust accordingly!
