This commission-based contract position offers you flexibility. Working full or part-time, control your earning potential, and build a schedule that offers a true work-life balance. Though you will be “your own boss,” you will have the full support of our staff and be a valued member of the Brides & Weddings team. All this while growing professionally and leaving your mark on the Northern Virginia Wedding community.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of sales experience and has a passion for the wedding industry.

Position Description: Brides & Weddings Magazine seeks a highly motivated and experienced Appointment Setter/Sales Assistant with a deep understanding of the wedding industry and a proven track record in sales. In this role, you will play a crucial part in connecting potential clients with our advertising and promotional opportunities. Your expertise in the wedding industry and your sales acumen will be vital to the success of our sales team.


Lead Generation: Utilize your knowledge of the wedding industry to identify and research potential clients, including wedding vendors, venues, and service providers. You will have access to our database of leads and will work to grow and refine the list.

Appointment Setting: Contact potential clients via phone and email to schedule appointments with our sales team.

Client Engagement: Maintain excellent communication with clients, providing them with information about our advertising and promotional opportunities and answering any questions they may have.

Sales Support: Assist the sales team in creating and presenting sales proposals and materials to potential clients. Provide follow up to close the sale.

Database Management: Keep accurate and organized records of client interactions, appointments, and relevant information using CRM software.

Market Insights: Stay updated on wedding industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to better inform our sales strategies.


Wedding Industry Expertise: A strong understanding of the wedding industry, including trends, vendors, and market dynamics, is essential.

Sales Experience: Proven experience in sales or appointment setting, with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for engaging with potential clients and the sales team.

Organization: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and appointments efficiently.

Customer Focus: A customer-centric approach and the ability to build rapport and relationships with clients.

Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using CRM software, email communication tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Self-motivated: The ability to work independently and proactively pursue leads and opportunities.
