Central Virginia boasts some of the prettiest countryside. The Market at Grelen, a 600 acre tree farm, is ready for wedding season.

The sky’s the limit with Grelen’s clear span tent

The Market at Grelen is ready for wedding season! The terrace is finished and a beautiful, clear span tent is now up.

Flexibility is the key ingredient to a wedding at The Market at Grelen, located just off Route 20 near the town of Orange and James Madison’s Montpelier. This 600 acre tree nursery and garden center offers 360 degree views of beautiful countryside and a variety of ceremony and reception locations.

Use the terrace adjacent to the gift house for your ceremony and make an entrance through the pergola. Then walk over to the tent, lit with strings of carnival lights, for your reception. Imagine how the sky will look at night with this clear span tent – you’re sure to see the stars since there is no “backwash” of city lights.

For smaller ceremonies, there is a lush grassy area for ceremonies and the greenhouse makes a great “mini clear span tent” for your reception. Throughout the property you will find a wide variety of décor items to incorporate into your look and, of course, plenty of plants.

The Market at Grelen has just converted an office in the gift house into a suite for the bride to use for getting ready – or maybe just a hideaway for the couple to get a few quiet moments before the reception. And Grelen recently opened nearby Spottswood Lodge – a beautiful home that can serve as guest accommodations for the bridal party. The area offers several B&B’s and there’s a full service hotel just a few miles down Route 29.

If you are looking for a spot for a weekend wedding retreat, contact The Market at Grelen at (540) 672-7268 or email Wedding Specialist Sarah Sargent to schedule your tour. And be sure to visit the website for more details and see great weddings at The Market at Grelen.
