Hilton Garden Inn Woodbridge: New and Convenient

By Ashley Simpson

The Hilton Garden Inn Hotel of Woodbridge opened in April of 2015 and began hosting weddings just last year, at the start of 2016. As the largest venue in Prince William County, it’s no surprise that the hotel’s wedding calendar is filling up quickly for 2017 – and beyond.

“The venue itself is 2,500 square feet,” Event Coordinator Evelyn Vargas said. “We had 13 weddings in 2016, so this is a brand new venue. Everything feels so new and is in such pristine shape.”

The Hilton Garden Inn Woodbridge, which this year ranked 6th out of 700 of the brand’s hotels nationwide, offers plenty of attractive features for couples planning a wedding in addition to its size and luster.

The appeal of a spanking new venue combined with the sheer convenience of the entire process makes the expansive hotel an attractive choice for couples planning a wedding in Prince William County.

Convenience comes in more than one form, too. The area where the wedding ceremony proceeds converts easily to a lively, festive reception area. On top of the flexible physical element, the Hilton Garden Inn also offers a package to make the wedding experience not only seamless, but also affordable.

“We offer an all-inclusive package to make things easy for couples,” Vargas said. “We do it all for you so that you don’t have to worry about coordinating all the vendors yourself. Our venue really is a one-stop-shop for a beautiful wedding. Wedding guests can stay at the hotel at a discounted rate, and also included in the package is a suite for the couple to stay in either the night before or the night of the wedding.”

The hotel’s wedding package allows couples to use their own vendors, but, everything from the table clothes to the center pieces are already provided.

Last year, Vargas said the busiest time for weddings was October and November, but the 2017 wedding calendar is already brimming from weekends in May through the end of the year.

The hotel’s event staff is hoping to book more Friday and Sunday weddings, too, and Vargas said she foresees this happening with a discounted package the hotel event department just recently implemented.

“We just rolled out a 10% discount package for anyone who does book at Friday or Sunday wedding,” she explained. “Saturday weddings are more popular for now, but, couples looking to save a little more will have a great experience on a Friday or Sunday, too.”

Woodbridge’s Hilton Garden Inn is designed for indoor weddings, but there is a patio that makes an outdoor element possible.

Vargas is still working with preferred vendors to confirm the hours of the Open House, but, everyone is invited to come and tour the space, get a good look at the ballroom when it’s all dressed up, and to ask questions. She will announce the hours of the event on the Hilton Garden Inn Woodbridge’s Facebook page, facebook.com/hgiwoodbridge, as well as on Instagram, instagram.com/hgiwoodbridgeva.
