Debra and Don’s Arizona wedding was a laid-back, colorful affair. Surrounded by the beauty of the Sonoran desert and it’s amazing landscape, the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix offered a serene and floral-filled oasis for the couple’s big day. As a contrast to the pale shades provided by the sand, rock and thriving succulents that surrounded their venue, Debra and Don chose vibrant shades of pink, coral and periwinkle when designing their wedding day decor. Sunflowers provided pops of bright yellow to the floral arrangements and the bridal party was decked out in the couples chosen colors, including flowing periwinkle gowns for the bridesmaids and bright coral ties for the groomsmen.
Small touches, like naming the tables for varieties of cacti from the gardens and including succulents in the centerpieces, celebrated the desert landscape of Debra and Don’s venue. The couple had a taco bar to give their wedding extra Southwestern flair and served wine from Page Spring Cellars, a local Arizona winery. Debra and Don’s wedding was not only a celebration of their love, but with so many charming desert details, it was also a love story to the Sonoran surrounding them!
