Tiffany and Greg chose to celebrate the opulence of the roaring ’20s with a Great Gatsby themed wedding reception. The couple started out with photos on the roof of their Columbus, Ohio hotel. Greg looked the part in his tuxedo and white tie, while his groomsmen were dapper in black tie. Tiffany’s Louise Christine dress had a vintage feel and her bridesmaids sparkled in pewter gowns.
After their first kiss as husband and wife at a nearby Lutheran church, Tiffany and Greg headed to the historic Columbus Athenaeum where it was time to party!
The Columbus Athenaeum, built in 1896, provided the perfect backdrop to Tiffany and Greg’s vision for a glittering, lavish affair that harkened back to the days of the Jazz Age. With a long dais for the bridal party, art deco styling and sparkling gold accents on black linens, the decor of their reception set the scene perfectly.
The tables were adorned with gold chargers, sparkling black runners and towering floral arrangements. Quotes from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic novel, printed in gold on black stock with art deco accents, could be found throughout the room and Jack Garrett’s band played lively 1920’s jazz to set the mood.
One of Tiffany and Greg’s favorite wedding details was their art deco, skyscraper styled cake, it was truly something special!
