Amber and David had a grand New York City wedding at the iconic JW Marriott Essex House in Midtown Manhattan. It was the perfect place to hold the opulent event of Amber’s dreams. The traditional Jewish ceremony took place on site under a gorgeous chuppah, resplendent with white, ivory and pale pink peonies and roses and since the Essex House is a pet friendly hotel Amber was able to have her beloved fur baby with her in the bridal suite. Her 15 year old poodle, who she had gotten as a Bat-Mitzvah gift, was adorably clad in a silver dress that matched the gowns Amber’s bridesmaids wore. So cute!
The reception decor was inspired by the immense crystal chandelier that hangs in the center of the hotel’s grand ballroom. Amber and David fell in love with its pure luxury upon first sight and their reception’s decor came together from there. The decorative accents in the Art Deco ballroom are all gilded, so Amber chose a palette of soft pinks and white to compliment all the luxurious gold elements. Building on that golden inspiration, she chose silver Alfred Sung gowns for her bridesmaids and as a nod to history, the men went black tie all the way!
Amber’s gown was designed by Romona Keveza, a mermaid-cut, pearl colored, strapless stunner with soft ruching. She was radiant in it, reminiscent of Grace Kelly. “My favorite part was the sequined lace at the bottom edges setting it apart from any other gown in a similar style”, says Amber. With it she carried a luxurious bouquet of cascading white phalaeonopsis orchids that she was absolutely in love with. But Amber says her favorite moment of the night was when she got to play pop diva with the help of Veronica Martell Entertainment. “I sang Dear Future Husband by Meghan Trainor on stage in front of everyone and then jumped into David’s arms standing in the crowd. Everyone was in shock and I felt like a total rock star!”
We simply can’t get enough of this richly glamorous wedding’s details, like the sculptural manzanita branch escort table display, draped with pale pink dendrobium orchids and hanging bubble glass candle holders, and the classic NYC handsome cab that took the couple for a spin and Central Park photo shoot. Amber and David went luxury all the way!
