Carrie and Casey’s Winter Wonderland

Carrie and Casey’s day started at the Iron Horse Hotel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where they captured “first look” photos that included their adorable dogs, Lyla and Gatsby. From there, they moved on to the historic Pritzlaff building where their ceremony and reception would take place. Their altar was decorated with birch logs from their country property and Carrie’s grandfather officiated her marriage to Casey, just as he had done for her brother when he got married. What a great family tradition!

Carrie’s mermaid-cut gown with its ruched bodice and sparkling beaded belt fit her like a glove and we just love the amazing cloak she wore for outdoor photo ops. Her sleek chignon and bold red lip color gave her a regal look. Her bridesmaids wore non-matching gowns in shades of blush and cream, some with sparkling details for polished soft winter style. The ladies’ elegant bouquets of white roses, peonies and orchids with eucalyptus accents were the perfect enhancement to their styling and Casey and his guys were dapper in their gray suits. Casey’s cream colored tie coordinated with his beautiful bride’s gown.

The loft-like space at the Pritzlaff building was tranformed into a winter wonderland for Carrie and Casey’s reception. Tall white floral centerpieces of hydrangea and roses with twig accents added drama while birch wood pieces and a color palette of gold, cream and gray gave the room an almost magical feel. Sound by Design’s DJ kept everyone rocking on the dance floor all night and this caring couple gave donations to the Humane Society in their guests’ names. Gold chargers and plenty of greenery enhanced the decor and draped fabric in light cream combined with the glow of votives candles and strung twinkle lights created a warm, cozy feeling, perfect for a winter wedding celebration.
