Erica and Christian held their wedding ceremony at Erica’s family’s home on Saranac Lake in Upstate New York. Under a canopy of tall pine trees, with their closest friends and family in attendance and a beautifully blue summer sky above them, they exchanged vows beside the lake. Their altar, a classic white trellis archway, was decked out in lush florals featuring white hydrangea and plenty of greenery and their color palette of sky blue and white truly popped against the rich green backdrop of their secluded ceremony spot.
After the ceremony, Erica, Christian and their guests headed to Lake Placid where The Whiteface Lodge offered them the perfect mix of refined rustic elegance and charm for their reception. The gardens surrounding the lodge were in full bloom and they took advantage of the summer evening sun for portraits on the grounds. Erica looked positively radiant in her lace, mermaid-cut gown which she paired with a delicate, fingertip veil and her bridesmaids’ sky blue gowns were the perfect summer style. Christian and his groomsmen wore navy blue suits in keeping with the blue and white theme of the day and their ties coordinated perfectly with the ladies’ gowns.
Inside the lodge, the reception decor had a light and airy feel, featuring white linens, vases of floating candles and delicate floral centerpieces of white hydrangea and blue wildflowers. Blue accents like the table numbers and place cards completed the decor and Erica and Christian’s wedding “cake” was actually a playful tower of blue and white cupcakes. After dinner and speeches to wish the couple love, luck and happiness in their new life together, friends and family danced the night away to the sounds of the Daddy Pop band while enjoying the mountain views that surround the Lodge. Congratulations Erica and Christian!
