Rachel and Matt: Classic Elegance

Rachel and Matt live in Texas where Matt serves in the U.S. Air Force and is studying medicine, but they traveled back to their native Ohio to tie the knot. Even though the temperature was about 50 degrees cooler in Ohio than it had been when they left Texas, this gorgeous couple didn’t let that slow them down one bit. The day started with first looks and a church ceremony before Rachel, Matt and their guests headed over to the Acacia Club for their traditionally elegant reception.

Rachel was positively radiant! Her dress was an absolute dream with its sparkling beaded bodice and full tulle skirting and her delicate pearl accessories and long veil completed her look perfectly. Her bridesmaids were pretty in pink with long dusty rose gowns and all the ladies looks were completed by bouquets of pale blush and white florals with plenty of greenery to accent. Matt was handsome in his Air Force dress uniform, a look some of his groomsmen mimicked, while the non-military gents were dapper in classic black tuxedos.

The color scheme of pale blush and white carried over to the reception decor with centerpieces of peonies and roses. White linens and navy blue napkins gave the reception a clean, traditional look and silver chairs added extra elegance. Plenty of greenery and lanterns completed the tablescapes. To highlight Rachel and Matt’s love of travel and their recent move to Texas, guests received personalized luggage tags as favors. After dinner, everyone enjoyed cupcakes and speeches by the newlyweds’ friends and family before dancing the night away!
