Brooke and Drew: Southern Charm and Puppies

Talk about childhood sweethearts, Brooke and Drew met on a hot summer day at the local pool when they were only four years old. These lifelong friends turned couple planned a gorgeously grand affair for their outdoor wedding in Thomasville, Georgia. They chose Pebble Hill Plantation for its stately house and its unbelievably beautiful grounds where they said “I do” under a canopy of ancient oak trees dripping with hanging Spanish moss, a hallmark of sultry southern charm. They were surrounded by friends, family and their adorable trio of dachshunds, who sported garlands of greenery on their collars.

Brooke was simply stunning. Her gown put a modern spin on tradition with its full skirting, sexy sheer bodice detailing and deep V back. She finished her look with crystal drop earrings and a fingertip veil. Her bridesmaids were perfectly styled for late fall in rich plum colored gowns with criss cross halter necklines and all of the ladies carried bouquets that featured pale pink and white peonies. Drew and his groomsmen were handsome in black tuxedos, a style as classic as the historic home that formed the backdrop to the vibrant celebration.

The reception brought the indoors out with antique furnishings and a grand black and white checkered dance floor. Tables were set with white linens and floral centerpieces of white hydrangea and greenery were accented by pillar candles in vintage holders. Tall arrangements of pink and white florals with lush greenery were placed throughout the space and the strung Edison lights that hung high in the trees were accented by glowing orbs of twinkling lights. Fun details like succulents in small gilded lanterns and Drew’s Chicago White Sox themed groom’s cake completed the decor and after dinner and dancing, the newlyweds rode away in a horse drawn carriage to live happily ever after.
