Sara and Matt’s Colorfully Tropical Beach Wedding

by Amy Serrago

Sara and Matt have known each other since kindergarten! They’re from Wisconsin, but chose to tie the knot on St. Petersburg beach in sunny Florida because that’s where they went on their very first trip as a couple. Sara loves bright bold colors and the beach was the perfect backdrop for her tropical palette of coral and turquoise. The day started with first looks before a beautifully beachy ceremony right on the sand, where a wooden arbor was draped in pale coral and white fabric, spotted with bursts of coral roses and white hydrangea.

Sara was stunning in her pale blush, princess cut gown with its full tulle skirting and delicate lace bodice appliqué. She finished her look with a sparkling headband and barefoot sandals. Her bridesmaids were totally tropical in light coral and all of the ladies carried bouquets of coral, white and pale green roses. Matt and his groomsmen were handsome in navy blue, Matt in a white tie and his guys in coral. Flip flops and bare feet were the footwear choice of the day and in keeping with the beachy theme, there was no jacket required!

At the reception, tables were set with crisp white linens that made the bright coral napkins pop and turquoise and coral floating candles in shallow bowls sat atop aqua-toned placemats, making the perfect centerpieces. Fun tropical details were everywhere, from the drink-umbrella place cards and brightly colored beer koozies to the mini beach chair table numbers and cool blue ocean-themed cake. Sara and Matt didn’t miss the opportunity to get romantic sunset portraits on the sand before they enjoyed a night of celebrating with their guests in their perfect paradise!
