Anais and Derek met at the Apple store when she came in with an iPhone in need of fixing. She went through several phones as her relationship with Derek blossomed. One night, Derek made a grand proposal under the famed Urban Lights at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Anais answered him with a resounding, yes! They chose to get married at Ponte Winery in California’s celebrated Temecula wine country. The winery boasts gorgeous vineyard views from its outdoor ceremony spot, a luxurious reception ballroom and, of course, amazing wines! At the ceremony, the aisle was spotted with framed photos of Anais and Derek when they were little and they performed a wine unity ceremony during which they poured wine from two separate carafes into a single glass. They then drank from the glass, symbolizing that they are forever joined together.
Anais was glowing in her boho-inspired gown with its delicately beaded belt and layered chiffon skirting. She finished her look with a sparkling headpiece in a floral motif, a look her bridesmaids mimicked with baby’s breath crowns to top off their pale pink gowns. Each lady carried a single sunflower and Anais held a classic rose bouquet in pale pink and white as she made her trip down the aisle. Derek was dashing in pale blue and his groomsmen were the picture of upscale casual in navy pants and white shirts with suspenders. Completing the wedding party’s styling were matching pink bow ties for the gents and a cool vintage-inspired paisley tie for Derek.
Inside the reception space, tables were set with classic cream brocade cloths and vintage touches like antique bottles and gilded-caged candles. Gold accents tied the decor together and Anais and Derek’s sweetheart table, a vintage piece itself, was set in front of a satin settee and decked out with gold flatware, chargers and a stunning candelabra. The happy couple shared laughter and tears of joy as they listened to speeches from friends and family before they made a splash on the dance floor. Guests were given mini succulents as favors and a dessert bar was set atop an antique piano. We just love all the personal and vintage touches that Anais and Derek added to their perfect wine country wedding day. Cheers you two!
