Lindsey and Chris: A New Orleans Style Party in Pink

Lindsey and Chris call his native city of New Orleans home. So when they chose her hometown of Tampa for their wedding, they decided to bring a bit of New Orleans with them. Their day started with first look photos, allowing them to get over some of their nerves and capture some sweet couple’s portraits. At their traditional church ceremony, a quartet of violins and organ provided live musical accompaniment and Lindsey carried pink rosary beads, to match the day’s color palette, with her bouquet. From there they moved on to the Palma Ceia Country Club for their cocktail hour and reception where the celebratory vibe of New Orleans took center stage.

Lindsey was gorgeous in her princess-cut ballgown with its sparkling gold embellishments and court train. She finished her look with pearl accessories and a long veil for added drama. Her bridesmaids were perfectly pretty in pink gowns and all of the ladies carried bouquets of blush and pink roses. Chris and his groomsmen were dashing in their traditional black tuxedos and blush rose boutonnières, completing the wedding party’s glamorous styling.

The club’s ballroom was decked out in pink for Lindsey and Chris’s reception, from the linens to the beer koozie favors and the flip flops the couple provided for dancing. Gold accents like chargers and chairs, and tall centerpieces of blush pink roses and white hydrangea amped up the glamour and personalized gold Mardi Gras beads were placed at each setting to celebrate the couple’s beloved NOLA. After dinner, guests were treated to hand rolled cigars before Lindsey and Chris cut their perfectly pink wedding cake. Everybody got up and dancing when a traditional New Orleans “second line” led them in a parade across the dance floor to honor the newlyweds.
