Color Inspiration: Something Blue

by Amy Serrago

This week we take “something blue” to the next level with this gorgeously styled homage to the classic color. The creative team behind this design started with dusty blue as their inspiration and added gold and bronze accents and a neutral floral color palette to amp up the elegance. We just love the way the wooden farm table brings a taste of country to the urban setting and the tablescape evokes timeless luxury by combining eucalyptus and a stunning garden rose, blue thistle, hyacinth and ranunculus centerpiece with textured gold chargers, vintage blue plates and blue glass goblets. Gold trimmed hurricane candles, gold flatware and dusty blue raw linen napkins add a touch of modernity and the white vintage settee with its blue satin pillows is a definite show piece. The bridal look started with a simple ice blue cocktail dress. The stylists added a full tulle skirt and a delicate lace jacket to create this romantic gown. Pops of peach, pink and blush and plenty of votive candles give the overall styling a polished finish. We hope you enjoy these gorgeous images and you can find a list of blue flowers you may want to include in your wedding’s design¬†here. Happy planning!
