Lauren and Juan Carlos met while in their senior year of college. They dated long distance while Lauren went away to get her master’s degree, but once she was back in New York, the pair got an apartment together. This amazingly caring couple soon adopted two cats, one who they rescued from the street and another, a little blind kitten they found at a shelter. When Juan Carlos wanted to propose, he went to the very same ring shop that had made the ring his father gave to his mother (awwww) and they custom designed a ring just for Lauren. He popped the question while they were vacationing in Newport, Rhode Island. Of course, she said yes, and wedding planning was underway. They chose the classic Lounsbury House in Ridgefield, Connecticut for their big day. They were drawn to its historic charm and tranquil surrounding gardens where they held their outdoor ceremony. The decor was a dreamy mix of vintage pieces and modern accents in a classic pink and gold color scheme. Lauren was gorgeous in her A-line gown with its sheer lace bodice and long train and Juan Carlos was dashing in black. They had fun snapping private portraits before the big event and we just love they intimacy of the images the captured. Congratulations Lauren and Juan Carlos!
