Liz and Joe: Lighthearted Romance on Campus

by Amy Serrago

Liz and Joe’s wedding day started with a traditional Catholic ceremony at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic church on the campus of Purdue University. These two alums share a strong sense of faith and a strong sense of humor. There was nothing stuffy about this church wedding! The aisle was decorated with perfectly round arrangements of pink roses and the bride and groom were all smiles as they exchanged vows full of love and laughter.

Liz was radiant in her lace gown with its full skirting and illusion neckline. She finished her look with a loose chignon, a fingertip veil and a bouquet of bright pink and white roses. Her bridesmaids made a statement in coral while carrying blue rose bouquets and Joe and his groomsmen were dashing in three-piece navy blue suits. Joe paired his suit with a navy vest and coral tie while his guys wore all coral accessories to match the ladies. During the reception, the whole wedding party took a spin on the Boiler Maker Special, Perdue’s campus trolley, laughing and rocking an awesome Journey sing along the whole way. Congratulations Liz and Joe!
