April and James’s Palm Beach Destination Wedding

by Amy Serrago

April and James said “I do” at the landmark Colony Hotel in Florida’s upscale Palm Beach. The hotel’s classic British Colonial architecture sets it apart and its close proximity to both the beach and iconic Worth Avenue make it the perfect spot for a destination wedding. April and James started their day with an outdoor ceremony on the hotel’s grounds. Details like palm leaves and gold pineapples set the scene for tropical fun and colorful florals created an air of exuberance. After their first kiss as husband and wife, this fun-loving couple had a blast posing for portraits with their wedding party.

April was gorgeous in her trumpet cut gown with its ruched bodice and layered tulle skirting. She finished her look with sparkling vintage-inspired earrings and a fingertip veil. Most of her bridesmaids were elegantly beachy in pale peach gowns, but two of them rocked tropical palm leaf gowns with pink accents and flower crowns. All of the ladies carried colorful bouquets in tropical hues like peach and pink and James and his guys were handsome in blue suits with white ties and rose boutonnières.

At the reception, tables were set with white linens and gold chargers. Tall arrangements of tropical palm leaves were interspersed with smaller floral centerpieces set in hollowed pineapples, bringing the fun beachy vibes inside. Gold pineapple details combined with the ballroom’s blue chairs and decor to give the room a tranquil feel and April and James’s wedding cake featured gold accents and the same florals as the centerpieces. A fun and funky neon sign that displayed the couple’s last name was placed prominently where guests could strike a pose under it and as the sun set over Worth Avenue, April and James snuck out to capture some romantic couple’s portraits. Congratulations you two!
