Rachel and Steve love to travel and explore different parts of the world. They wanted their wedding to be a unique and fun expression of the love they share not only for each other, but for adventure. Their held their travel themed wedding at DiSalvo’s Station, a restaurant in Latrobe, PA that’s housed entirely in an historic train station! Their ceremony took place right on the platform and their wedding party was perfectly styled. The bridesmaids were reminiscent of retro flight attendants in navy blue cocktail dresses and pillbox hats and they carried vintage suitcases in place of floral bouquets. Rachel’s Maggie Sottero gown was a dreamy mix of vintage lace and chic 1940’s styling. She looked stunning and finished her look with a compass brooch “bouquet”. Steve and his guys were dapper in gray suits and to stick to the theme, they paired them with world map ties.
After the newlyweds said “I do” they had fun posing for portraits with their wedding party, the station creating the perfect setting to compliment their styling. Then it was on to the reception where each table featured a different centerpiece based on someplace Rachel and Steve have explored together. Vintage suitcases and flags from around the world completed the decor and after dinner the happy couple cut into their adorable and unique suitcase themed wedding cake. There was dancing on the platform before Rachel and Steve said good night to their friends and family, ready to begin their next adventure. Congratulations Rachel and Steve!
