Tiffany and Ravi’s Vibrant Indian Fusion Wedding

by Amy Serrago

Tiffany and Ravi traveled from their hometown, Chicago to celebrate their wedding day in sunny Mexico. This adorable couple wanted a modern wedding with an Indian ceremony that would honor Ravi’s heritage. First, Tiffany and Ravi adorned traditional Indian wedding clothes for their beachside ceremony. Tiffany was gorgeous in her red and gold lehenga which she paired with intricate Indian jewelry and Ravi was dashing in his traditional sherwani. Their wedding party followed suit in traditional saris and tunics in shades of ivory and blush. Ravi rode in on a red rickshaw to complete his barat, the customary Indian wedding processional that brings the groom to his bride. Tiffany and Ravi’s mandap was dreamy in crisp white with lush florals in pink and peach draped across its top. After they exchanged vows under the warm Mexican sunshine, the newlyweds posed for portraits in their Indian wedding clothes before retiring to change into their red carpet worthy modern western wedding attire.

Tiffany’s reception look was simply stunning. A classic ballgown with a sweetheart neckline, lace overlay and chapel train. She topped it off with a dangling pair of vintage-chic earrings and a jeweled pair of Christian Louboutin heels. Ravi looked like he stepped off of the pages of GQ in his slim fit tux in classic black. After some cool couple’s portraits in the hotel and on the beach they entered the reception to applause and a special performance by their wedding party. For their first dance as husband and wife, the dance floor was aglow with a sparkling fireworks display as friends and family cheered them on.

Dinner tables were set with white linens, glass chargers and gold accents and romantic floral arrangements of pale blush and white roses, hydrangea and greenery completed the decor. The blending of modern and traditional style seemed effortless and the ballroom’s wall of windows offered guests a full view of the lush Mayan jungle outside. After dinner, the newlyweds cut their all white wedding cake, but then it was back to the dance floor to celebrate in style, something this gorgeous couple clearly knows how to do. Congratulations Tiffany and Ravi!
