Ashley and Peter’s Elegant Desert Destination Wedding

Ashley and Peter live in California, but traveled to Scottsdale, Arizona for their big day. They started with first looks before their outdoor ceremony in the JW Marriott at Camelback Inn’s north garden. They exchanged vows beside a wooden arbor draped in flowing white sheers and lush florals in white, yellow and orange with plenty of leafy eucalyptus accents. After their first kiss as husband and wife, Ashley and Peter had a great time posing for pictures with the stunning desert landscape and the hotel’s iconic interior as a backdrop.

Ashley was gorgeous in her pale blush Tara Lauren gown with its sheer bodice, lace details and chapel train. She finished her look with a sparkling pair of teardrop earrings. Her bridesmaids wore deep forest green gowns and all of the ladies carried bouquets of yellow roses, orange disbuds and succulents with eucalyptus accents. Peter and his groomsmen were handsome in gray suits which they paired with forest green polka dot ties and his grooms-lady was pretty in pale sage.

The reception took place under the desert sky with strung Edison lights to illuminate the space as the sun set over the mountains. Tables were set with white runners and wreaths of greenery spotted with yellow and orange florals and floating candles created a romantic glow. Guests had fun snapping pics in the funky photo-bus and a live band got the party started with Ashley and Peter’s first dance as husband and wife. The newlyweds snuck away to capture some couple’s portraits in the dramatic desert light before cutting their “naked” wedding cake, but then it was back to the dance floor to party the night away with their friends and family. Congratulations Ashley and Peter!
