Christina and Matthew met while they were working for a marketing company in Boston. They’d only worked together for a week or so when the whole office attended an awards event in town. Christina and Matthew hung out together that night and got to know one another. They hit it off instantly, but tried to keep their relationship quiet at work. Most of their coworkers figured them out though, because as Christina said they’re “bad at keeping a secret”. Matthew proposed on the roof of their Beacon Hill apartment after a dinner date one night. He surprised Christina with flowers and champagne and of course, she said yes!
Their wedding day started with an outdoor ceremony right on the water in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Christina was radiant in her Martina Liana gown with its sheer sleeves and chapel train and Matthew was handsome in a dark navy suit and white tie. The bridesmaids were perfectly boho-chic in pretty flowered gowns and the groomsmen’s look matched Matthew’s. A solo guitarist serenaded them as they walked down the aisle.
The reception decor was the brainchild of Christina’s mom, Gayle. She created the photo booth backdrop and all of its props and the wooden swing that hung from the rafters with “C&M” carved into it. The industrial space inspired several DIY projects and the floral design was vibrant and cheerful. Deconstructed arrangements and a palette of seafoam, peach and muted reds brought the centerpieces to life and ivy accents completed the decor. Christina says one of her favorite parts of the night was the last dance, (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life. “Having all of our friends and family around us for that last song was amazing”. Congratulations Christina and Matt!
