Chia and David’s dogs are their life! So, they took a road trip to New England to visit family and have fun with their dogs. That way this Florida couple’s fur babies could swim in a lake without fear of alligators. While they were there they went for a hike with “the boys”. Eventually, they stopped to rest and give the dogs a drink. While David was searching in his bag for his water bottle he put his hand on the small of Chia’s back.
He said, “what a crazy ride we’ve had.” Chia agreed that the road trip was indeed crazy, but of course, that wasn’t what David meant. “No silly, its been quite a journey you and I have had, and there is no one I would rather continue it with”, he said. “Will you spend the rest of your life with me?” Of course, Chia said yes! And wedding planning was underway.
David and Chia were inspired by the 1800s barn at their reception site and chose to enhance its rustic theme. Starting with their outdoor ceremony where a photo of their dogs sat right on the altar! Chia was radiant in her fitted lace gown and fingertip veil. And David was dapper in his tweed vest and gray shirt. Meanwhile, the “love birds” theme from their invitation design carried over into the day’s styling as well.
The newlyweds chose to keep the florals simple for their reception and took advantage of every DIY opportunity they could find! With a mint green and gray color scheme and love birds accents they created the centerpieces and guest book. At the same time crafting countless small details. And after their first dance, Chia and David posed for pastoral portraits on the farm. Congratulations you love birds!
