Lisa and Alisa: Legal After 15 Years!

by Amy Serrago

Lisa and Alisa have been together for over 15 years. In 2006, they declared their love and dedication to each other in a commitment ceremony in Atlanta, GA. Back then, same sex marriage wasn’t legal in the United States. So, Lisa and Alisa waited for the law to catch up to their love. Although they had no “official” certificate their marriage was no less real to them. But last year they decided they wanted to “make it legal” and reaffirm the vows they took so many years ago.

Lisa and Alisa were full of joy and excitement on the morning of their wedding day. They surrounded themselves with an intimate group of loving friends and supportive family. Above all, they wanted to make sure that their day was all about them, their love and their lifelong commitment to each other.

They exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony before sitting down to sign their official marriage license! Both ladies were radiant. They sported ear to ear smiles as they danced and celebrated with their guests who showered them with love and confetti. Congratulations Lisa and Alisa!
