Amy and Andrew met through mutual friends. Andrew was supposed to leave for an overseas trip the next day, so he almost didn’t go out that night. But, he decided to grab a drink with some friends and ended up meeting Amy. She says he was shy at first. But after a couple of pints of liquid courage Andrew worked up the nerve to ask to borrow Amy’s phone. Then, he called himself so that he would have her number. Smooth move, Andrew!
Amy and Andrew, who’ve never been the “traditional” type of couple, chose a gothic theme for their wedding day.
Amy says, “white was never for me”! She always knew she would wear a black wedding gown. So, she worked closely with Natalie from True Love Couture to design the dress of her dreams. Together, they combined elements from gowns that Amy liked and the result was simply stunning. Most importantly, Amy loved it! Meanwhile, Andrew was totally dapper in his sleek black suit.
The reception decor featured a red and black color scheme with pops of white and plenty of sparkle. To start, Amy and Andrew shocked their guests with a head banging entrance to the song “Face the Pain” by Stemm before sharing their first dance to “Take the World” by Johnny Swim. Family and friends honored the newlyweds with heartfelt toasts and at the end of the night, Amy and Andrew cut into their cool black wedding cake. Congratulations you two!
