How They Met:
It was a toothache that brought Kimberly and Aaron together. Well, fate and a toothache as Kimberly puts it. Aaron was at work when he started experiencing tooth pain. His cousin suggested he call the dental practice where Kimberly works as a hygienist. And (this is where the fate part comes in) they had an available appointment that evening. Which is rare. Furthermore, Kimberly had a cancellation at the same time!
So, when Aaron came in for his appointment Kimberly saw “his handsome self”. And although they didn’t really speak that night, sparks were definitely flying! A few days later, Kimberly reached out to Aaron on social media. Soon after that, they shared their first date. The next day they had a second date. On the third day, a third. Kimberly says the chemistry was instantaneous!
The Wedding:
The inspiration for their farmhouse chic wedding came from two places. Chip and Joanna Gaines of TV’s “Fixer Upper” and the fields of lavender growing at their venue. The Gaines’s rustic farmhouse style has always been a favorite of Kimberly’s, so a barn wedding was a no brainer. And when she saw the lush lavender growing at Rich’s Farms she knew it would be the primary color in the day’s decor! Her bouquet was a mix of lavender and lilac colored florals and it was perfect with the stunning A-line gown she first saw on Pinterest.
Her bridesmaids were pretty in sage green cocktail dresses. At the same time, Aaron and his guys looked cool in sand-colored suits paired with purple argyle socks. The reception decor was packed with plenty of lavender. Kimberly and Aaron even added lavender uplighting to the barn! The centerpieces featured rustic burlap accents and sweet bouquets of lavender and wildflowers while vintage touches completed the day’s impeccable styling. And for dessert, mini cupcakes were a huge hit. Congratulations Kimberly and Aaron!
