Brittany and Matt’s Elopement: Classic Meets Boho

by Amy Serrago

Brittany and Matt didn’t want a big wedding, but they did want something memorable. They wanted their family and friends to share the day through photos, but above all they craved the intimacy of a private ceremony. So, they chose a styled elopement. After scouring the internet for the perfect location, they found Lucky Arrow Retreat in the Texas hill country. Brittany says that in addition to its unbelievable views, she fell in love with its classic boho-chic vibes.

Their day started with a bit of good luck rain, but as Brittany and Matt got ready in the cabins at the retreat, the clouds parted and the sun started shining. The happy couple exchanged vows beside a metal arbor while they stood on a cool Southwestern throw rug. The ceremony included a traditional handfasting ritual. And at the same time wild, yet elegant florals enhanced the day’s boho style.

Brittany and Matt kept their fashion choices classic, understated and romantic. Brittany was gorgeous in her sleek sheath gown and Matt was dapper in a dark suit. But after that first married kiss, the newlyweds popped open some bubbly and posed for portraits before enjoying a sunset meal. Later, they shared a private rooftop dance before heading off to start their honeymoon. Congratulations Brittany and Matt!
