Marriage Proposal: Do it your way!

This is the story of two small-town laid-back guys who met online. They went out on a first date in a big city with a lot of skepticism about ever finding love.  Something magical happened on that first date – tingling feelings of love fluttering for them.  And with each next date, they fell in love till one day, they decided that marriage would be their happily ever after.

Planning a marriage proposal can be overwhelming and exhilarating at the same time.  And the best way to do it is your way.  Chris did just that!  He hatched a wonderful plan to surprise his beloved Christopher with his marriage proposal.  That is about when I got the call and we got down to work quickly.  It took us a couple of months of chatting on text, phone, and email to schedule, plan, and execute the big day.

Chris selected the McLean Central Park from our choices of locations to keep things simple and focused during this time of COVID-19.  Chris and his beloved Christopher have a ritual to meet up with their best friends every week for a different outing.  Their friends arrived early, and we walked the route for the plan of surprise so that they could position the couple in such a way where I had a clear shot at them without giving away the surprise.  The scene had been set for their perfect surprise marriage proposal.

Chris text me.  They just parked.  And in a few more minutes, Chris and Christopher walked into my sight along with their friends who guided them to “the spot.”  As the couple walked on, their friends fell back, and I had the perfect shot as Chris got down on one knee to Christopher’s delight and yelled out – YES!  Once the deed was done, Chris and Christopher put their engagement rings on and their friends gifted them with memorable mugs with grooms written on them.  Mission accomplished!  Nicely done, Chris and friends!
